Antifouling Seminar at Collins Stewart London Boat Show
What is the future for antifouling use in the freshwater environment? The Green Blue will be examining this question alongside The Broads Authority at a seminar at the Collins Stewart London Boat Show in January.
People are invited to join the discussion at this free event on Friday 18th January 2008, 2.30pm in the South Gallery (Room 30), Excel Centre, London.
The Broads Authority will present new evidence that antifouling is damaging the freshwater environment and presenting possible solutions, whilst the Marine Trades Association will present the paint manufacturers perspective, and cover the case for antifouling. The Green Blue will present new research on the impact of pressure washing and boat washdown systems and cover current best practice advice. Keeping the hull free of fouling is essential for maneuverability and safety, keeping fuel efficient and preventing spread of alien species, so come along and have your say.
The Green Blue will be giving away a supply of non-biocide antifouling paint to one lucky winner every day during the Boat Show, kindly donated by Flag Paints.
