Visit us at Collins Stewart London Boat Show and give your boat a Green Blue environmental check

This year, The Green Blue will be focusing its attention on how to renew your antifouling with the environment in mind.

Did you know?

Anti-fouling paints work largely by releasing biocides (pesticides) into the water.

  • Most paints and used brushed, rollers and trays are now classified as hazardous waste.

  • Copper biocides found in most anti-fouling paints are toxic to water fleas, dragonfly and fish larvae, and can build up in the food chain.

There are simple steps we can all take to reduce the impacts of antifouling paints, pick up a free 2008 wall planner for The Green Blue’s top tips.

What’s new?

Southampton Boat Show saw the launch of our new interactive CD Rom ‘Into The Green Blue’.  This essential resource is now available free to all clubs, training centres and schools to teach children and young adults about the importance of protecting our coasts and inland waters.

The Green Blue environmental check posters have now been updated with a fresh look and new ‘hot spots’. We have also added a RIB poster to the set which also includes, sailing, canal boating, motor boating and the 'How Degrading' litter poster.

Copies of ‘Into The Green Blue’ and the new environmental check posters will be available from our stand as well as our usual How To….. guides, waterproof code of conduct stickers and wildlife spotting cards.

We’re giving away a Green Blue anti-fouling kit for every day of the show so don’t forget to enter our competition and make sure you’re kept up-to-date with all the latest environmental news affecting your club, business or boating activities by signing up for our e-news updates.
