The Green Blue Pick up Inaugural Green Award From PBO
The Green Blue, today (Wednesday 16 September) has been crowned winner of one of the four inaugural Practical Boat Owner magazine’s Green Awards.
The awards have been set up to recognise marine businesses and individuals who have taken steps to make the leisure boat industry more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Clinching the title in the Campaign category, The Green Blue’s Project Manager Sarah Brown said: “We’re delighted to receive this Green Award from PBO for our work to promote sustainable boating. It’s a real team effort and we’re all extremely passionate about the work of The Green Blue and we’re very proud to have our successes recognised in this way.”
Winners were also recognised in the Product, Boat and boatbuilder and Service categories, with titles going to; Isle of Wight-based engineers, Hybrid Marine, the boatbuilding arm of Ronautica Group - one of Spain’s largest marine companies and charter company Sunsail.
Special mentions went to Volvo’s Eco Challenge and Wilks PVC for recycling used materials.
