Is your club planning its winter event programme?

If so, we have a team of volunteers accross the country willing and able to visit your club to meet boat users, talk about the work of the project, demonstrate the new interactive CD Rom "Into The Green Blue" and answer any questions members may have.  As the autumn/ winter season is upon us I know many clubs are keen to fill their calendar with various speakers and events.  If your club has any such evening or weekend events that you would like a speaker for, volunteers are able to do a 20 min- 1 hour presentation explaining what simple steps everybody can take towards protecting the environment whilst on the water.

The Green Blue has achieved significant progress in its first two years by its guidance to boat owners, sailing clubs and marine businesses.  Our practical advice and information has already brought positive changes to the way boaters, marinas and boatyards behave towards our coastal and inland waters.  Mike Golding and our other ambassadors have helped The Green Blue achieve its current, excellent public visibility.

We believe there are a number of simple steps that boat owners and the marine industry can take to protect the environment and keep within ever increasing legislation.  To inform of and encourage these actions, we have produced a series of publications as well as a new interactive CD Rom, all available free to clubs and training centres.

If you would like to request a Green Blue representative visit your club then please contct Katherine Rowberry on katherine.rowberry@thegreenblue.org.uk or phone 023 8060 4100.
