New The Green Blue Staff

Jane Swan has recently joined The Green Blue as ‘Partnership Officer’. Jane will work closely with Government agencies and secure partnerships and funding for the future development of the programme. Jane joined us from UK Sport, and was a leading light in establishing the Paralympics Association. She is also a keen dinghy sailor.

Dan Reading has taken on the 2nd new role at The Green Blue from West Berkshire Council. His role as ‘Recycling Officer,’ funded by the Environment Agency and The Crown Estate was created in response to the many people who have approached us regarding recycling issues.

Dan will be providing assistance to; sailing clubs, training centres, marinas, businesses and recreational boaters to help them recycle more. He will be establishing recycling schemes and enhancing existing facilities. His work will start in the Solent area, and then roll out later in the year across the country.

Dan is currently working with Haslar Marina, revolutionising their waste facilities and saving them approximately £10,000 a year already!
