Wendy Stowe and her partner Andrew Baird have been increasingly concerned about the impact of cleaning products they use on board. As owners of a Hunter 707 (Feeling Rough), kept in an SSSI on the Hamble River, preserving the local environment was paramount.
Andrew turned to the internet, and purchased ‘Zymol Marina’. Made from carnauba wax obtained from the Copernica Cerifera palm tree, it is fully biodegradable.
"Zymol Marina has really brought the boat up beautifully. The biggest thing you notice is the lovely tropical smell. Although expensive, you only need to use a small amount each time. The protective wax layer means dirt can be easily washed off with sea water and means she makes a better speed through the water when close hauled. We polished her up prior to Cowes Week and she looked her best all way through! I would definitely recommend Zymol Marina to other boat owners."Rating: 9/10
